What Is An Oak Tree?

An oak is a tree in the beech family and of the genus Quercus. Oak trees are native to the Northern Hemisphere, but there are now over 600 species of oak spread out across North and South America, Asia, Europe, and Northern Africa. Oaks have leaves arrangeed in spirals and grow acorns, which are a type of nut.
