Today's average cellphone is millions of times more powerful than the computers that helped astronauts first land on the Moon in 1969.

The Apollo Guidance Computer (ACG), which helped U.S. astronauts reach the Moon in 1969, had 64 kB of memory and a CPU speed of 43 kHz. An iPhone X, in comparison, has 3 GB of memory (about 47,000x more), and 2 CPUs running at 2.39 GHz (each about 56,000x faster).
